We are anticipating another wonderful day of competition, conversation and inspiration at The Golf Club at Newcastle! Just so you get a sense of what a great day this will be with fellow leaders and significant friends, here is an outline of the day's plans:
9:00am -- Registration and morning contests begin. Coffee provided.
9:00am to 11:15am -- Contests will include:
- $10,000 Putting Contest: Each golfer will get a shot to make a putt on the practice putting green near the registration tables. At 11:00am, there will be a putt-off to see which one golfer gets to try for $10,000 PUTT during the Reception later in the day.
- Driving Range Contest: Each golfer will get three shots to hit targets on the driving range. At 11:00am, there will be a ‘drive-off’ if there is a tie, with the winner earning a $50 Oki Gift Certificate, good on the course, pro shop or restaurant at any Oki course.
- Chipping Contest: Three chips for closest-to-the-pin. At 11:00am, there will be a ‘chip-off’ if there is a tie, with the winner earning a $50 Oki Gift Certificate, good on the course, pro shop or restaurant at any Oki course.
11:15am – All golfers will climb into their golf carts to prepare for the shotgun start. Each golfer will receive a lunchbox to take with them as well as anelectronic scorepad to enter scores and get info about each hole. After instructions, all will head for their respective tee boxes.
11:30am – Shotgun Start! There will be beverage carts as well as a Beverage Bar to keep golfers well hydrated! There will also be competitions on the holes, information from various sponsors and even chances to bid on auction items!
4:30pm – Registration for dinner guests begins in the Clubhouse and the Reception starts on the patio, Prestwick Terrace. We will be providing wine, beer and non-alcoholic options (as well as no-host spirits). There will be opportunities during the Reception to purchase raffle tickets and bid on a limited number of quality auction items. Since golf scoring will be collected electronically, guests will be able to watch the scoreboard filling out throughout the Reception.
6:00pm – Doors will open to the Dinner. All golfers and Dinner-only guests will be seated for scrumptious dinners, spirited fun and stirring testimonies. Jamie Winship will provide a keynote address concerning hearing God and the mission of C3 Leaders. Golf awards will be announced and the evening will close.
8:00pm - Everyone will leave exhilarated from the day and enthusiastic about the future!
